SLAM - IAM Roadsmart
We are one of over 180 local groups in the UK, delivering the IAM RoadSmart Advanced Rider course in South Lincolnshire.
We help you to improve road safety and the enjoyment of your journey.
We are volunteers
All observers are volunteers, we give our time to help you become a safer rider.
Becoming a IAM National Observer takes months of study and riding to ensure our skills are the best they can be for observing you.
For you
Throughout the course we support you with documentation, advice, guidance and the tools that assists you, as a rider, to acheive the goal of becoming an IAM Advanced Motorcyclist.

The IAM Roadsmart Advanced Riders Course provides qualified obervers, an opportunity to give back to the local motorcycle community, and help give you the road craft and skill to make you and our roads a safer place.

Our club has been active in South Lincolnshire for many years, Initially as a car club in the 80's, moving to a car & motorcycle club in the 2k's and finally to a motorcycle club in the 10's During this time we have observed and guided associates in improving their riding skills and acheiving the advanced riders qualification.
Club Social Rides
Once you join the club you can involve yourself and your pillion on one of our many group rides throughout the season. Usually organised on a Sunday per month, using the "drop off" system to keep the group moving, stopping for refreshments during the ride.
tuesday evenings
We have regular Tuesday evening observed rides for members and associates looking for additional observed sessions. For full members we can conduct a check ride, or just take a run out to a local establishment for a coffee and chat.

If you are looking to improve your riding skills, or have moved into the area, you can contact us for information on how to join us.
The course for new members is £175, this includes all your documentation, test fee, 1 year membership of the IAM Road Smart and 1 year membership of the South Lincolnshire Advanced Motorcyclists club.
South Lincolnshire Advanced Motorcyclists club renewal fee’s are £10 PA with the IAM membership £48 PA.
